Walking up the 108 steps one at a time is like walking up the heavenly ladder into the sacred land. Taking one step is overcoming one worldly obstacle. Together, everyone will reach enlightenment and return to Heaven.
Heaven’s boundless grace and the Holy Teachers’ noble virtues shine throughout this last era: the Bai Yang Era. Maitrieya Buddha leads the Heavenly Domain. Ji-Gong Living Buddha andYue-Hui Bodhisattva, the 18th generation of the Late Eastern Patriarchs, had incarnated on Earth. They accepted the Heavenly Mandate to begin the Salvation of the Three Realms by alleviatingcalamities and redeeming societal traditions. The world is saved by Tao because sentient beings are reverted to their original nature and have transcended the reincarnation cycle. The Bai Yangdisciples descend on Earth with their holy vows and holy missions on their shoulders. Undeterred by obstacles and hardships from pioneering Tao propagation, they continue their goals,diligently paving the way, and mercifully shouldering calamities in order to redeem sentient beings. They work together in unity to spread the Great Tao to the world.

Many led by example with their unconditional devotion during the construction of the temple, examining progress with vigilance. Amassed efforts and wisdom aligned with divine timing and God’s will, resulting in aid from Heaven and the buddhas.
天恩護佑，天命加持，諸天仙佛搭幫助道，人才濟濟助道展，實證天人合一，大開普渡之盛況。自1930年起，至今2020年，短短九十年間，道傳世界已逾八十多個國家，見證道真理真天命真。白陽普渡，傳承永續，不渡盡芸芸眾生，永不停歇。眾弟子矢志承先啟後、繼往開來，道場永遠續辦，大展鴻猷新史頁。

Merciful rays of sunlight shone throughout the earth as guests congregated at the auspicious time. The founders of the Association came together during the foundation ceremony to repay Heaven’s grace by undertaking the holy mission.
The blessings from Heaven, the power of the Heavenly Mandate, and the propagation support from saints and numerous, talented cultivators are a testament to the joint effort betweenHeaven and mankind. They show the great glory of the grand salvation. Within the short ninety years between 1930 and 2020, Tao has propagated to more than eighty countries. This growthis a testament to the genuinity of Tao, the Principle, and the Heavenly Mandate. The Lineage of Tao will continue eternally during the salvation of the Bai Yang Era. We will not rest until everysentient being is saved. Every disciple shall aspire to follow in the footsteps of Tao seniors while guiding Tao juniors, to pass on the teaching of past saints, and to pave the way for futuregenerations. The Tao society will continue eternally, and its great developments will be written in the new pages of Bai Yang history.

Sincere offerings of incense conveyed appreciation for Heaven’s aid, for group efforts had yielded blessings from the deities. Gratitude and deep respect from all, the foundation ceremony had come to a perfect close.
今有一貫弟子湯文萬先生，與陳鴻珍前人宿世因緣深厚，進入道場後，其表現之忠誠度與護持力，完全不假學習，與生俱足。正值一貫道總會商議興建「祖師紀念廟」之時，經陳前人提示轉述，湯先生默默發心，願全力幫助前人完成興建轉贈總會。二十餘年來，耗資近十億元，舉凡土地提供、所有規劃施作、裡外全部以手敲青銅設計等，承負一切興建費用，突破萬難、矢志達成任務。其能力，其發心，功在一貫道場。
不忘使命愿立，不負前人的寄望期許。艱辛挑戰在所不辭，設計建造、鋼樑結構立基穩固。
Vows were not forgotten. Senior Elder’s expectations were not disappointed. Difficulties were overcome with great effort without hesitation. Everything from the construction design, to the support beam, to the foundation, was soundly executed.
I-Kuan Tao disciple Mr. Wen-Wan Tang and Senior Elder Hong-Zhen Chen had a deep affinity between them. After he joined the Tao Society, Mr. Tang had shown sincere loyalty andunconditional support, all natural manifestations from his heart. Senior Elder Chen shared with him the I-Kuan Tao Association’s aspirations of constructing a Patriarch Memorial Hall. He pledgedsilently to support Senior Elder unconditionally in the completion of the structure and then to donate it to the Association. During these twenty plus years, he has donated more thanNT$1,000,000,000, donated land, planned the construction project, and designed the interior and exterior copper inlaying. He took on all the construction expenses, overcame numerous hurdles,and completed his mission with perseverance and determination. All of the achievements brought upon by his efforts and motivation were all for the I-Kuan Tao Society.

A unanimous agreement was reached among five former and current Association presidents and vice presidents, as well as among every branch. Mr. Wen-Wan Tang was recruited to be Bai Yang Holy Temple’s lifetime honorary chief advisor, in recognition of his sacrifices and virtues.
白陽聖廟設計完成時，曾為前人讚譽為「今古奇觀、曠世鉅作」，並恭請張培成老前人、高斌凱老前人及施慶星理事長等前人正式動土。歷經五屆理事長、副理事長暨各組線一同護持倡議，如今峻工完成，其興建呈現令人嘆為觀止！為表彰創會主任委員湯文萬先生無為奉獻德風，特聘為白陽聖廟永久榮譽總顧問，亦彰顯白陽修士之德範行誼。以此拋磚引玉，倡導菩薩六度萬行之無住相佈施，人人力行仁德義舉，以臻世界大同。

Nestled amongst mountains and luxurious greenery, the holy temple looks to be among the clouds. This is the Association’s greatest achievement, a practical undertaking of its responsibilities.
When shown the final design of the Bai Yang Holy Temple, Senior Elder praised it as “a timeless wonder, an incomparable masterpiece.” She then invited Tao seniors including Grand SeniorElder Pei-Cheng Zhang, Grand Senior Elder Bin-Kai Gao, and former Association President Qing-Xing Shi for the formal groundbreaking. The proposal had the support of the past five presidentsand vice presidents of the Association, along with the support of branch leaders. The construction is now completed and the final structure amazes all. A lifetime honorary chief advisor positionwas granted to the Bai Yang Holy Temple Management Committee founder, Mr. Wen-Wang Tang, to honor his selfless and unconditional dedication, highlighting the virtuous acts of a Bai Yangcultivator. This modest act of gratitude hopes to encourage others to follow with greater acts of altruism. By advocating selfless donations—one of the Six Paramitas, others will be motivated topractice mercy and loyalty so that the great harmony of the world will prevail.
